Sharon moved to Bamberg, South Carolina, from her birthplace of Brooklyn, New York, when she was a child, after her parents’ separation. She is the eldest of her two sister siblings. She joined Eden Baptist Church in Bamberg during her adolescence.
On June 19, 2013, her mother died unexpectedly. Her legacy continues to drive Sharon, who does not make excuses and speaks up for what she believes to be right. Sharon thanks God for giving her such an amazing mother and the blessed opportunity to spend her life with her. Her mission is to share the highs and lows of her life journey with others to help them achieve true peace by focusing on King Jesus.
Sharon is a proud graduate of Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College in general office. She later moved to Columbia, South Carolina. In September 1986, she began the ideal public service career with the South Carolina Department of Social Services to fulfill her spiritual purpose of serving and aiding the impoverished and vulnerable. During the COVID-19 season, God told her to leave her position as Executive Assistant for the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Chief Operating Officer. Following that, God gave her the inspiration to write her first book. Sharon felt a calm notion in her heart while listening to a song. She trusted in God’s provision, and he delivered. Things persisted, breaking through and making their way into the pages of her notebooks or journals, where she began scribbling notes. He gave her every detail she needed for her basic Bible study for all ages, which can be used by everyday families relaxing at home, friends laughing at a quiet gathering, or coworkers eating lunch, removing the spirit of fear for believers to gain the courage to boldly introduce the Gospel of Jesus and the lost from feeling judged by the church.
Her other interests include online preaching, gospel music, handicrafts, and travel.
